Riding Camps

Maple Ridge Sport Horse Camp is a combined training camp for children of all riding levels
age 6 and up. All participants are grouped by experience and campers are matched with horses for their level.
Safety is of most importance as well as having fun while working with horses.
Each one week session provides a variety of riding lessons and stable management topics.
Students learn to properly and safely groom, tack and ride horses. Stable management includes stall and barn
maintenance, horse health and injury issues as well as general horse information.
Both head instructors have a B. S. degree in Equine Studies with over 15 years of experience
in showing horses in several different disciplines. The assistant instructors are also experienced horse
enthusiasts either owning their own horse or involved in lesson programs and showing horses.
Campers arrive at 9:00 a.m. to start their day either by riding or learning hands on in
five different areas of horse management. Lunch is provided for the horse hungry campers along with a
snack in the afternoon. The afternoon session begins with campers switching programs/lessons with the
morning group. the day ends with a fun game and a review of the days activities and what was learned.
Parents arrive a 4:00 to pick up the tired but happy campers excited to come back the next day. Early
drop off and late pick up are accepted if needed..
Each session is $350 that includes a non-refundable $100 registration fee due
by June 10.
Campers are allowed to bring their own horse for a
fee of $25 per week & a current Coggins/health certificate.
All campers are required to wear approved helmets and appropriate footwear.
We have a limited supply of riding helmets that can be leased for $5 per week.
Campers may be dropped off or picked up early/late for $5 per half hour fee.
